Jonas Rubenson from Penn State and PoWeR Lab PI Greg Sawicki have just published a Focus article in Science Robotics with their take on the potential of using lower limb designs inspired by birds in robotics. They describe the potential of using passive mechanical systems to facilitate simpler control in addition to improved performance. Read it here.
