New Paper – Shorter fascicle lengths increase metabolic cost of locomotion

Congratulations to Owen Beck and his co-authors, Lindsey Trejo, Jordyn Schroeder, Jason Franz, and Gregory Sawicki, on their new paper published in the Journal of Applied Physiology. They investigated whether different fascicle lengths would change the metabolic cost of a cyclic task and found that metabolic cost increased over 200% in a plantarflexed posture. Check out that paper here.
