Shu is in the interdisciplinary Quantitative Biosciences PhD program in the School of Biological Sciences. He develops versatile muscle models using machine learning methods. Shu hopes his research can help physical therapists make more accurate diagnoses and aid scientists in developing biomimetic prosthetics and robots.

In his free time, he enjoys cooking and spending time with his family.
