Krystal is a Robotics Ph.D. student co-advised by Dr. Aaron Young, Dr. Omer Inan, and Dr. Greg Sawicki. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and minors in Robotics and Computer Science. She is passionate about advancing human-centered technologies through wearable sensing and machine learning by leveraging multimodal physiological and biomechanical signals to better understand movement, estimate energy expenditure, and characterize embodied states like effort and fatigue.
Outside of research, Krystal loves staying active – whether running, lifting, hiking, playing basketball, or teaching fitness classes.
