Jennifer Leestma

Jenny is an NSF ARMS (Accessibility, Rehabilitation, and Movement Science) Fellow and incoming NSF GRFP Fellow in the Robotics PhD program co-advised by Dr. Greg Sawicki and Dr. Aaron Young.  Her research focuses on the biomechanics and augmentation of human stability during locomotion.  Before coming to Georgia Tech, Jenny worked on prosthetics and rehabilitation engineering research at the University of Wisconsin, the Minneapolis VA Hospital, the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, and Össur. 

When she’s not working, Jenny enjoys rock climbing, CrossFit, hiking, and spending time back home in Northern Minnesota.
