Carlo is a student in the Robotics PhD program advised by Dr. Greg Sawicki. His research involves developing effective upper body exoskeleton platforms for occupational/industrial tasks. The overall goal of his research is to develop upper body exoskeletons utilizing bio/neuromechanical principles that will hopefully lead to better design and control strategies that could lead to mass adoption of such devices. He is also a Professional Engineer registered with the State of Florida. Prior to his Ph.D studies, he worked as a Lead Mechanical Design/Development Engineer for at least 13 years for various manufacturing/engineering firms with a design portfolio ranging from consumer electronics, industrial energy storage systems, wind turbines, clean energy, HVAC, and containerized industrial process plants.
In his spare time, he likes to collect robot figures and find/play rare video games. He also likes to spend time with his family and pets back home in Tampa, Florida.
